Default Sending unit??? WTF

Uhm, yeah...My hatch drives me nuts with the gas gauge..So I was wondering if this is correctable by changing the sending unit or not. I can never *really* tell how much gas I have cuz the gauge fluctuates so damn much.

Any help here boys??

>>BTW, I'll be a the h-t meet on Saturday if anyone else is going.

You can change the sending unit if that is what your asking. Gotta take out the back seat to get to it. Our gas guages fluctuate quite often, so I just try to run on mileage.

That's what I've been doing also, but it just makes me wanna kick my car. Can I use a sending unit from a civic? Or what? Does it matter what year and all that??? Cuz I thought the gas gauge was just a hatch thing...

I think I may have my new motor in by the meet! *Hopefully* Just waiting on a bearing in the tranny.... Yeah! dx block...y8 head d17 crank dc headers all kindsa fun stuff. I believe we may be expecting 11:1 compression too! :D I'm excited!!!

Cool plans with the motor, but pretty much everybody's Civic has that same problem with the guage. It will go down if you go up a hill or left and go up if you go down a hill or right.

I don't really pay attention to my gas guage much for that very reason. I just fill it up before my engine stops moving .

Nice choice of parts on that Frankenstein setup, Ashleigh. Let us know how that turns out when you get it on a dyno/to the track.

Damn, I was hoping I could just change the sending unit to one from a civic or accord and yeah. That's gay.

Thank you tho, it's much appreciated!

I'll try to just ignore it I suppose. I'll keep ya updated on all the cool stuff.

Any of you guys coming to the meet here in Vegas? Maybe you'll be able to check out the new motor if it's in by then. It should be done tomorrow as long as I get that damn bearing today. Honda is too damn difficult to order from-They had no idea what bearing I even needed, but they said they've got it on it's way out. Bastards.
