Apparently we can't ask anymore questions, so we may as well rename the board to that. Every question has been answered, so let's all keep quiet and happily search the archives.......

I know - it's true. But there will always be nOObs. New to the NET or new to the world of Boost. Most of us on here have learned from asking questions. Not evryone knows what A/R or wheel trim is etc....they come here to learn, cause this is THE BEST HONDA FORUM....period.

I'm no newbie, been boosting for 3 almost 4 years now, and every once in a while, I can't find what I'm looking for in search, so I ask the question, only ot be told to search.

It's a double edged sword if you ask me.

How about a NEWB forum?

Ask all your newb questions there! Like: "How much NAWS to shoot?" or the ever popular, "How much boost for my SOHC?" or even the repeated back from the dead question "What's better, supercharger or turbo?"

ROFL - Actually a good idea - a forum with about 15 stickies all locked.

Like a FAQ for Forced Induction.

maybe they should make the trial period where you can only use the SEARCH option for 30 days. then they will all figure out how to SEARCH before they can post

I appreciate these repetative posts being locked ... I haven't seen one post locked as of yet that hasn't been answered many times and can easily be searched for ...

Everyone uses the excuse: "I tried searching but couldn't find anything" .... but mysteriously when I search under the same topic I can pull up a couple pages of topics with ease.

I also have come to love the SEARCH BUTTON, but a problem is that the info found from the search might not be applicable for you. Meaning, that you find some good info, but it seems to be about the b18, but how do you know if it applies to a f23? Most of the time you don't, and you get replies from your post like, "use the search button", "this has been answered a thousand of times", etc... And most of your replies are like, "I did search but didn't find anything" because you think the info is not applicable to your engine.

good post

recently there have been a lot of repetitive questions...like the one about "Should I go Super Charger??? " it's been covered many times...the prob is tho...why do ppl still post about it...just dont was your time posting. or heres another one "Lovefab Shorty manifold" come on...these kinda people are down right lazy...here on HT we talk about lovefab a lot and ppl know cody can make his mani's...this person obviously didnt search and just felt like posting. i personally use the search button alot. and besides its not like you HAVE to have that kinda information so soon that you have to make a post about it....you'll just eventually run into it while you search this site.

this is what i like about this board.. is the fact that its moderated.. thus, as a user you get to see more of informative and technical threads and less of the topics that can be easily found by using search.. i'd be asking a whole lot more questions, but i search instead.. try to figure out as much as i can on my own.. and then ask.

instead of a newbie forum, which existed at some time.. maybe add f.a.q. as some other forums on this board already have.. some people just don't know how to search or search well.

instead of nebie forum, would be nice to have a recycle bin forum where all locked/to be deleted threads are thrown...

i agree with you for the most part... every time a new person posts a thread, they get ::SEARCH *******:: or someone flames them. Not a very nice way to welcome someone. However sometimes..actually like many many times i see questions like "buzzing noise from my exhaust" or "how do i change my engine to v-tech" <---..LOL ..there was just like 3 of those the past week in the integra forums

The reason we request a search is to help prevent the forum from being cluttered. How many thread do you see with the SAME questions asked repetitively?

'How many of you have the shorty love-fab?'
'Is Full-Race any good?'
'How much boost can I run on my XXX motor?'

People stop answering posts when they notice they have been recovered over and over and over and it just gets annoying. Sometimes archived threads don't answer questions previously asked, so go ahead and ask the question you can't seem to answer. The moderators are not trying to be power-tripped *********, we just get sick of having to babysit the same type of people over and over and over again. Locking/Deleting the same thing day after day gets old and annoying after a while. And for the people that reply with a 'search *******' type of response will be dealt with as well. This is blatant post-whoring and violates the TOS. New rules are under construction.

And for those of you that need help with searching please view this thread:

We had that here before, it didn't work out that good.

The only thing i found in the post about what can and can't be posted was this: - This is not the place to post what FedEx, ups, USPS, airborne or the donkey brought to your door. Posting pics of what you got wastes bandwith and takes away from the tech articles.

Personally I feel that people being excited and wanting to show off their goods is not a bad thing, It also updates people on the board of new parts that have come out. A picture is worth 1000 words. Other than that everything was very well put i thought!

Instead of bitching about this and that rule and etc...lets learn to use the search function better. Search fucntion is almost similar everywhere, learn to use what wording to use, combination of AND and OR in between 2 or more words. Learn to use the notepad to archive post and etc.

This is a public forum, we are extremely lucky as it is to be able to learn and communicate to each other and sometime for use the older guys, it's tiredsome to see the revhard versus drag or the supercharger versus turbo and etc.

And for all of us who post, learn to use the appropriate words to post your thread to make it easier for anybody else to search for it.

The mods are right. **** haven't you people hear of read more, post less? I rarely post about anything, because it's pretty much guaranteed to have been covered at least once before. Just learn how to use the search. If you can't figure out how to use the search function you probably shouldn't be boosting your car lol.
