Rear Main seal or Timing belt cover seal???
Preferrably of an automatic tranny but it probably doesnt matter.
Im in the process of replacing my timing belt on my 1992 DX auto. After removing the timing belt cover, belt, and the crank pulley, I notice quite a bit of oil buildup where the crankshaft comes out of the block and there is a seal there that looks like it should be replaced. I *THINK* this is the main seal? Or is this just a timing belt cover seal? Someone told me the rear main seal is on the flywheel side of the block and not the timing belt side. So Im confused now. Either way it needs to be replaced and I need to know what its called so I can pick one up. Thanks
