Default Stock Jdm D15b LSD: Is it any good?

Even something such as a stock LSD might be good to have in on a SOHC motor.

Can I put the LSD in an EX tranny and if so, where can I get a stock D series LSD from? Websites? Prices?

Hard to install and stuff?

Should I even bother? I plan on turbo charging so I thought i'd might have it as something small and extra. Nothing major.

nope. the bolt pattern for the ring gear is different. why? i have no idea why they did that. if you want that weak lsd, you need the whole tranny. hyperduck tuning and hmotorsonline are the only places i've seen that have the jdm d15b tranny with lsd.

nope. i wouldn't. mista bone says he has several examples of this diff exploding at the <130 hp level. if you're going turbo, it will break for sure. i considered this diff for awhile myself, but the tranny is old and beat to begin with, the diff will break - and good luck rebuilding it, considering you can not get the parts for it.

save and get a quaife or kazz for your tranny if you want a lsd - something you should definately want for a ff turbo car.

Well I actually know someone here who bought one for 200 bucks. The whole tranny... and he can get his hands on more.

I'll find out of this is true very soon, but I don't think i'll be getting it. If you have to use the d15b tranny, that'll be a step because I know nothing about the gear ratios.

the gear ratio in that tranny is the same as the ex / si trannies. for $200 i'd make sure it had the lsd. make sure you can see through the diff before you buy it.
