Will a DC5-R Center Console fit an RSX without modifications? I want to swap the consoles, but I don't know if the JDM one will fit. I hear it fits but not all the brackets line up.

 

They do not swap directly, Most companies sell the console top for pretty cheap so people can swap out the red stitched shift boot.

 

I just did the JDM shift **** and boot today, love the way it looks

 

Did you have to restaple the boot onto the console? So, the whole center console (from dash to ebrake) will not fit in an RSX?

 

the front where it meets the dash part doesn't fit directly.

 

Yep,.I believe they have a diffrent cup/drink holder as far as toward the Dash(no slide'e peice),..and then it slopes down toward the E-brake handle.(where the ITR badge is on the DC5)Its also Angled toward the Pass side(on JAP) and we here drive on the Driver side

It would look good though,..better then the Factory one w/o that slide peice---that was 1 thing I wanted on my ol' Type-S but knew it woulnd't fit.

 

I have tried it and it does not fit right but if you custom some pieces you can make it work.

 

Thanks guys, I only bought the shifter console part, so I'll just swap the boots.
