Default Turbo D16z6 sedan project update.

getting closer to finishing this up, and i got my digid cam back from cannon, so i thought id post some pics up.

let me know what u guys think, search under my name for the car this will be going into, i have pics, and the last turbo project install.

just and over view of the turbo head, and parts

the black lines are where im going to cut the dp and try and weld it back together but pointing twards the stock exhaust location, instead of aiming away, might be able to keep a/c this way.

Big Problem!!!!!!! manifold cannot be bolted to the turbo because the oil line is in the way, asking flamco-T if he might have a 45 or 90 degre elbow that might fix this problem!!!!

Dual Core civic radiator off ebey, 86 bucks shipped, (brand new)

HKS SUPER BOV

16x7.5 panther rims. soon to be wraped in 225/40/16 parada spec2's

1/4" wheel spacers, to fit those 9" wide tires.

Specs

D16z6 head, P&P, Crower stage 2 cam, springs, and retainers.
Nology hotwires
MSD cap, and external coil
HKS cast manifold
GARRETT GT25 JDM silvia turbo
SSautochrome cast down pipe
HKS SUPER BOV (not the sequential)
STR adjustable cam gear
ARP headstuds
GM 3Bar map sensor
Flamco-T oil line kit
Cosmetic headgasket (need to buy)

Bottom end
Eagle rods
CP pistons (9:1:1) 20 over bore
ACL bearings

hoping for 12-18psi daily on this turbo and setup, maybe 20+ at the track on race gas and a custom nitrous intercooler spray kit im making, would kick on at 11psi and up, to save nitrous and cool the intercooler when detonation would be critical.

JIM FAB tracktion bars, Ground control coilovers 350lb fronts, 400lbs rears, tokico illumina shocks, Possibly LSD if i can find one at a good price, im also looking for a way to convert to eaqual length axles. hydro Dseries intermidiate shafts sell on ebay sometimes, but they have gone to high for me latly. also the 9"wide street tires will help.

im considering using this to wrap my oil lines, waterlines, and any wires near the tubro and manifold. anyone have experiance with this stuff, i need something to protect my oil inlet line.

Cool protection for wires and lines.

An excellent way to protect wires, fuel lines, brakes lines, battery cables, EGR tubes, and more. The special weave of the sleeving allows it to expand over plugs and fittings when installing. Fasten using Thermal-Tie® or hose clamp. Material is noncombustible and resists water, fungus, and petroleum products.

- Withstands 1200° F continuous
- Rolls are 25 feet in length
- Adjustable inside diameter from ¼" to 7/16"
- Enhances style and improves heat protection
- Excellent for street rods and custom cars

im also considering buying a 6"x14" heat sheild blanket, to strap around my compressor housing to keep that alittle cooler, and reduce any lag, its only like 30 bucks any experiances?

do u have any pics of the install. i was considering putting the "blanket" over the compressor housing to keep the heat from the manifold, and some heat from the hot side off the compressor. did u put the blanket over the hot side? did u wrap the downpipe with heat wrap aswell??

this is what i was considering.

Best of Luck to ya! Looks clean too!

I've seen 90's too, they're not uncommon.

we put the blanket under the stock heat sheld on the manifold. the stuff works wonders for the underhood heat. not sure if it effected spool or not. with the tinyness of the evo turbo i doubt it did.

ugh, i had an obx manifold on my car for about 1 month and sold it afterwards... it was a piece of crap. I actually lost hp and torque on the dyno after i had it on.

do a search, there are horror stories about those things and how crappy they are... save the cash and get an edelbrock.
