Hey guys, I did a search and couldnt really find a real concise answer, but has anyone tried to fit CRX si seats in an ek hatch or any 6th generation honda civic for the matter? If so, what all needed to be done? I like the crx seats cause they are made by recaro and remind me of Ferio SIR seats (same design, different material/fabric) off of 5th generations civics. (I miss my Ferio ) Thanks guys

like just swapping the rails? or actually drilling into the rails and adding stuff onto them?

Well the rails on the CRX are closer togethet to each other, on the EG/DC they are farther out. So you can either drill holes, weld brackets, or switch seat pans.....

 

can i try to ghetto rig it with washers?, is switching the seat pan hard?

I have never swapped seat pans so I am not sure how hard it is. I don't think washers are what you need, more like a welding machine or something more creative....

Good idea buddy. Why not ghetto rig something that is going to hold you in place in an accident? And there aernt that many things that hold a seat pan on so why don't you try it?

 

yeah, im thinking i am gonna try the seat pan trick, there is a write up here floating aroudn on ht where a person swapped the seat pan from an s2k seat to a 6th g civic seat, gonna have to dig that one up...
