You can "make" any seats fit into a 1st Gen CRX, depending upon how handy you are. Similar year Integra and Prelude seats will bolt in without too much trouble.
BUT!!!! The CRx seat is faily thin in the seat bottom, other Honda seats are fatter in the seat cushion. A new seat will raise your butt and get your head closer to the headliner.
The best alternative is to have the stock seats rebuilt by your local upholstry shop. They can do them in leather if you want it.
Real racing seats are best for racing and make lousy street seats. Street seats that claim to be raicng seats are not usefull for racing.

Bolt in? Yes. I believe it's the 88 CRX Si seats, before they switched to the new pans that most 88-91s have. YRMV!!!
All I did was put my 86 CRX rails on the pan of this CRX Si seat and it bolted in.
I think you can also retrofit any of the 88-91 CRX/Civic foam and seat covers to the old seat structures, or perhaps the old seat pan combined with the newer seat back. Again, I'm not sure on this...
Of course you can make anything fit, with custom work. The main problem is going be head room, as Scott mentioned.
