Default 911 HELP 1988 Honda Prelude Electrical Drain problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey can somebody help me. Ive had this problem with my old 1989 crx si (back when i was 14) and my 1991 civic hb. Im guessing its a common Honda problem. I really like Honda's and will not return to another Toyota. I need to find out why my battery is draining. The battery checks out ok. The alternator is working. If i let the car sit over night with the terminals connected (BTW im a rookie mechanic in high-school and know some of the basics and my terminals are not corroded and have a good connection and also do not have a parasitic drain on top of the battery). If anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it, or knows what i should look for/fix it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

hook a multimeter up to check for the drain. Then start pulling fuses until you pull the drain goes away. That will tell you which circuit the drain is in. Then it's just a matter of finding the particular component that is causing the drain in that circuit.

that's good advice.

i dont think it's that common in hondas... not anymore so than in other cars - maybe you're just "lucky" that way.

you say the alternator is okay... how do you know that? did you bench-test it? was it borderline ok or definitely good?
