OK im installing my autometer and i need to know exactly which wire the light and power wire should run to. My friend said we should wire the power and light wires into the cruise control wires but im not sure where to run the tach light wire to, any help GREATLY appriciated thanks
You need a 12volt power that turns on with ignition, parking light wire and a solid chassis ground. Oh, and a tach signal (usually blue at the distributor or blue single wire plug near passenger side underhood)
You need one to a power source. One to a ground on the chasis. Another wire to instrument cluster, if you want to do it the easy way, find your instrument cluster fuse in the fusebox and you can stick it in with the fuse, or else find the wire that runs to the fuse and splice it (that's what I did). Then the last one goes to your distrubuter. And, if I remember correctly, the color of the wire is the green one with and white stripe. I'll check mine in a few to make sure.
