Default ACT v.s. Clutchmaster

I just recently bought an LS motor for my 93' hatch and I am still having problems deciding what clutch to go with. I hear clutchmaster is very aggressive and will break my tranny in a matter of time. I will be running a hydrolic tranny so if any one knows which one is better holla back.

My ACT tore my tranny up with in 6-7 mos, of course I have no idea how bad it was when I got it. either way you are looking at a more aggressive clutch and you are obviously driving hard, so you have to expect as much. I have been pleased with my Exedy race clutch, which is a little less aggressive and a whole lot cheaper

I had a clutchmasters stage 3 for about 3 years and was totally happy with it (b16 w/ bolt ons... no crazy power here). Its daily drivenso pedal pressure was close to stock, but it still grabbed hard when launching at 6k rpm's at the track. Never slipped or chattered. Before that, I had a CM stage1, and it burnt out within about 6 months doing the same type of driving as mentioned above.

I have a clutchmaster stage 3 in my car and love it. I agree with jdmbran that the pedal pressure is close to stock, but grabs hard when giving on it. I have one in my probe aswell and samething. I recomened them to anyone.

just about every clutch manufacturer makes at least one model of clutch that is very aggresive.get a CM stage 5,and you probably will tear up something.i have a lot of experience with CM products.get the stage 3 and a billet flywheel and you'll be happy.

I'm running an Action 1MS, 6puck sprung disk. Almost OEM feel with alot of bite. I also put in an ACT Prolite flywheel at the same time. Both were great upgrades to the car.

I had my act for about 2 years. Over 70 runs down the track plus daliy driving. Act is a good product in my book.
