Default McDonalds Civic on ESPN

I was watching the import races on ESPN last night, I think they were from sprigfeild illinios, any way remember that 91 civic HB painted red, and yellow with the spoiler nthe roof, well it was racing and it ran a 13.8xx@10xmph, was shocked, that this car is faster than mine, i wish i had pic of that car, so i could put it in the gargage and have something to work oon beating, haha

I've heard somewhere else that car was pretty fast too. Too bad it looks like my bunghole.

You guys are too hung up on 1/4 mile times....in the grassroots motorsports $2001 challenge, several cars broke into 12s....for less than 2000 dollars for the cars AND parts. it's not that hard. That car is still a rolling joke tho, hopefully he'll keep the internals and make it more tasteful.

It does look hideous. But the motor is a stock B18C5 with JUN cam gears and a JUN header. Thats it! No fancy head work or cams. Just a P28 ECU and a near stock ITR motor with some JUN bolt on's.

Yeah, but that's still enough to make a 91 hatch run in the 13's. That nice of a motor in a sh!tbox car like that is just wrong.

If this is the same car I'm thinking of, I've seen it in person. He runs up at New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. He's an old asian guy. Ask TypeRmsm or Hyper165 about him, they see him more often.

I spoke with him at the last Import Survival series, he's a nice older Asian guy. I still can't figure out what ever posessed him to put that arched wing on the roof though.

Yes,

He goes to NE Dragway every week. He seems to be a nice guy, but I would expect that car to do much better. I don't know how he managed to get into 13's because about a month ago he was at low 15 on street tires. I usually go on street night. I sure that he probably had slicks for the competition, but I still think that is relatively slow for the work he has done. For the record it is a B18C5 with some JUN work on it. I will get more info next week at the import wars.

That ******* wing has to create a significant amount of drag. maybe that's why his times are so shitty.
