It phisically fits in like the USDM one. You will have to rewire it a bit. You will also need an electronic VSS from any 92 and up civic or 94 and up integra. wiring here.
http://b16a.honda-perf.org/cluster.html. To wire up the VSS just split the signal wire and run it into your ECU at pin B16 and then run it to the back of the cluster where the VSS signal goes. Then ground the ground wire and splice the power wire into a switched power source.

I got a EF9 cluster, and I'm having only one problem. Hooking up the VSS. You wrote that you have to splice the signal wire into pin B16, and than in the back of the cluster where the speedo signal goes. Isn't that the same wire(yel/red) just wondering if this is the correct info. If you can could you resopond with the pin number on the back of the cluster, just so I know for sure, and have you done this and it worked. I'm getting real pissed off with this thing, and just want to get it in and done. (I've already gotten all the rest of the pin outs for the cluster off of the page listed where you said to splice the wires) thanks.

i got it all hooked up but how to i fix the tach signal i'm getting. if i turn the key to the 'on' position (so the lights on the cluster show but the car doesn't start), the needle for the tach will jump to about 800 rpm or so. when i'm idling, it'll be pretty much reading exactly that much more then what it really is.
ie: i have launch control on my car and it's set at 3.5k rpm. but on the cluster, it shows 4.5k rmp or so..

how do i take care of this? i'm using a pm6 if that matters. also, it's a dohc zc.

it's posted everywhere how to get this cluster working and fitting, do a search. other wise use a el. vss out of a 92 and newer civic and the three wires on it go to power, ground and singal, as for the tach all 88-89 and 90-91 usdm cluster plugs are the same no matter if you have a si dx or std.
