my car (97 LS) has been in the shop for 2 weeks, getting the following done. I would like to know what kind of HP I should expect at the crank.

-ITR pistons
-Milled head
-Port/Polish
-valvejob
-Skunk 2 intake manifold
-68mm throttle body
-crower dual valve springs
-crower ti retainers
-comptech icebox
-RC injectors
-MSD ignition
-ACT stage 2 clutch
-Dissasemble/clean
-Greddy 4-2-1 Stainless
-ITR cat back exhaust
-Still trying to decide on cams and gears. Probably the 6403's
-Also condisering a GSR or ITR tranny

what should I make at the crank? and what kinda times, with and wthout cams and tranny.

 

I dunno maybe 170 at the crank?

i dont think you will be needing RC injectors unless your making 250+hp

ben schefer. Im getting the injectors casue my old ones were stolen, along with my intake mani, header, and TB

 

how the hell do that get stolen from a car?

 

My car was stitting outside the shop. (the head was already pulled and being worked on, so there were like a total of 4 bolts holding the header and the intake mani to the car.) So i get a call from the cops at 10:00 am on sunday, they said someone broke my window, and on 2 other cars. So I went down to look at my car, broken window, contents of my car thrown all over the place, I pick them back up, my ashtray and trunk liner are missing..... strange.

I pop the hood and there is nothing in there but the block. I was like hmm maybe the headers and intake mani were just taken off. I look closer, the entire wiring harness in the engine bay is all cut up, all the hoses are cut. I was like WTF! No respect..... So they confirmed my thaughts that yes, all the parts were stolen. I was not the only one hit, 2 other cars had contents stolen from car, but no engine parts.
I look on the good side, ill get all newer better parts though.


The shop owner has helped me out, hes a real good guy.

97blackteg - I saw your car up there. I just picked mine up from Ben last night. Had to get a new driver side axle, valve adjustment, new tranny fluid, etc. I was talking to Ben about the cars that got broken into when I dropped my car off on Monday night. He couldn't understand why the thieves had not touched the two racecars that were sitting outside. That really sucks, I hope everything works out.

 

your car is the Green GSR 4 door? I saw that up there the other day. You need to clean out that engine bay

 

It's not too bad for having 121,XXX miles worth of road grime on it. I've been meaning clean it out now for a while. Maybe I'll get to it someday.
