whats wrong w/ my idle?
ok...i've been kinda confused to whats wrong w/ my idle. sometimes when i turn on my headlights, the rpm drops from about 750-800 to about 500. But when i turn them off, it goes back to about 800. Then sometimes after i've been driving, and i come to a light for example, the revs drop to like 200, then it'll sit there for about two seconds and jump back up to 800. what do you think it is? i dont think its my alternator, cuz i just got one not more than a year ago.

definetly not the ground. i have a homemade ground kit (20 bucks) and it has 8 grounding points...so its definetly isn't that. probably is the battery, because the battery doesn't hold a charge too well anymore, usually wont start the car in the morning. and if i leave the radio on for more than 5 min w/out the car on, forget about being able to start it.

1. Fully reset ECU, by unplugging negative battery terminal, pulling ecu out, whatever. Let it sit for a while. Tap brake lights to get electricity out of system.
2. Let car warm up until it's completely warm without touching gas.
3. Follow instructions on how to properly set idle (by unplugging IACV etc)
If it still doesn't idle right just jack up the idle screw a bit. Fixed it for me.
