I have the dash out, and the core unbolted, how do I get it free from the firewall?

did you remove the hoses that connects the heater core? Which is located inside the engine bay and you should be able to pull it off.

when i was doing this my core didnt want to come out, so i pulled on it really hard. after an hour or two it came out.

 

Make sure you get all the bolts out from inside first. Then like said above take the heater hoses all over and then disconect all the wires and everything. then it should just come right out. I just took mine out for paint like a couple weeks ago.

 

okay, thx, I didn't know if the hoses threaded on like the A/C lines.

 

No, just get some pliers and take them off just like rad. hoses.

 

Sweet, got it, fuxored my heater hoses and the SOFT brass connectors though, I hope I can fix them.

 

And just think, You probably didn't need to put it back in.
