Default OMG: Please post all d16y5 (HX) info here. I need ALL OF IT.

There is just not enough info on it. I know Spade has something written up on it and I thought it was in his sig but I just can't find it.

I need to know if turbo is a possibility and who has DONE it. I can't find ANYONE on the boards who's done it.. I think im just a bad searcher. =P

I want to know if it's going to be okay for me to use the HX ECU on my obd1 Hatch, that's real important.

Come on guys post up everything from specs to experiences. I dont want to go through the trouble of swapping a head out, that's just too much.

HELP!

I don't think so, but what motor do you have? That ecu will cause vtec-e to occur at around 3000rpm.

Here is one HX post

I had a boosted d16y5 in my 96 hatch. It screamed to say the least, the HX cam is awsome (higher lift and duration thatn the EX) roller rockers in the valve train to...Good motor i used the HX ecu also. Hope this helps IM with any questions.

BTW it was a homemade t25 kit.

Alright. More info on the setup too!

What was your fuel system? VAFC Hack or FMU?

What psi were you boosting at?

Any problems?

What was your best time in the EK hatch if you don't mind me asking...

Im about to drop a D16Y5 into a CRX and probably doing a Home Made Turbo kit and I was wondering what type of times I would be seeing....Thanks

I am about to turbo my Hx as soon as I get my loan money in hand and maztur sends it out if all goes well. I am looking to bolt it on by april...depending on the weather conditions in ND and if anything major is needed from the kit I buy.

I think the kit is coming with a 12:1 FMU and DSM injectors. I will probably ugrade to the AFC hack later. I dont want to get Hondata or anything because my power goals are too low for me to justify to myself (or my wife for that matter) to get a more enhanced setup. Although I should just get it just in case I DO decide to go further but that would be WAAAAAY down the line.
