Default Question - Cricket in the exaust??

ok so i have an h23, aem CAI, dc sports header, Apexi N1, and i just put on an hi-flow catalyitic (resonator) with out my silencer my exaust is REALLY!! loud, with the silencer it sounds like a fart in a tin can with a cricket at the biggining of every gear? whi is it chirping? If it is the new resonator causing it to be oh i dunno obnoxiouse, is there a hi-flow catalytic that u guys recomend that has great flow makes it sound good but not to loud or (tinny)?

I just put on a carsound with an N1. Sounds great. Deeper but not much louder.

the exact same thing happened to me too....i found out that one of my gaskets was loose...so that half of it was clamped and the other half hanging out...so it was improperly sealed, hence the rattling sound...check out your gaskets...

The N1 has to be the stereotyical sound of riced out cars. It is loud and annoying. So what you are experiencing sounds normal.

I hear a few people say that it sounds good....but I have yet to experience it. Then why are there so many used N1's for sale??

I like my Thermal. Still not exactly what I was looking for though. I like deep and not as pronounced. I guess I am just used to my friend's BMW's Now THOSE cars sound AWESOME!!

Good luck.

Its just a resonater, i had the 11 year old stock cat on and it sounded deep i liked it, i put the resonator on with a silencer its still loud with a tin can sound, with out a silencer it sounds like some one one blasting a trumbone as loud as they can down the street. So i might get cat-sound or random tech, wich rought should i go?

P.S i re positioned the silencer it got rid of te chirp, but the sound is a bit too "ricey" for me
