K20 Throttle body?
Does anyone know the size of the K20A3 throttle body? Also the size of the K20A2 Type S, and Type R? any help would be much appreciated!
If anyone knows where to find a Type S, Type R or any larger than the stock A3 throttle bodies, POST IT pleeease!
they will be used with a K20 Type R intake manifold in my ep3

K20A3 is 62mm (some have had it overbored
to 64mm IIRC).
(self-edit for stupidity) I dunno. I know
Spoon makes a 70mm one that tapers back
in towards the throttle plate. Someone correct
me if I'm wrong on the numbers.
EDIT: Doh! Check that, I think RSX-S TB is same as
K20A3's. Not sure about the Type R, though...

Umm... unless your ep is revving past 8000 rpm you wont see a gain in hp and lose bottom end torque.Just not enough flow from the k20a3 cams to make any power with type-r intake manifold.I heard edelbrock is making a manifold for you guys that works in conjunction with the hondata si reprogram i would wait for that but dont waste your money on a type-r manifold your si manifold is basically the same as our type-s manifold just the tb is bigger.I didnt see much of a gain in hp using a type-r manifold on my stock k20a2 cams.Olny when i switched to the dc5-r cams and mugen ecu did it help out.Know im waiting for my toda n2 comp cams cant wait

he was asking about "Throttle Bodies" NOT "intake manifolds".

i have the inline four over bore on my stock throttle body (70mm with 64 mm taper ends) along with the dc5-r manifold. i drove it before and after hondata and either way you can feel the gains, it's nothing amazing but you can tell it did something, not to mention that at 7 grand in thrid the car rocks back. but with all that and the hondata the car pulls very well. IMO it's worth it.

In my car, it will be used on a K20A3, which is currently stock. Im looking to free up some airflow on the A3, Ive heard it really does good. I have an exhaust on the way, but but no intake until i figure out which manifold and throttle body to go with.
thats right i bumped a real old thread
after searching for 2 hrs..i found this and i bumped it because no even answered the question.
what size is the rsx type S TB?
