Can you replace the rubber rain guards on your roof with paintable plastic?!?!?
like the thread title said. Does anyone know if it is possible to get some aftermarket rain ducts for the roof of your car that are possibly plastic so they can be paintmatched to the car just like on a lexus?
Or what type of material to potentially look for to put some on my car.

You can probobally paint those that are on there. Honestly though, should'nt be that hard to paint those if you can get them off.
Mine were painted on my 92 Lude Si, and the paint started flaking after a year because of the change in temperature, that soft rubber flexs a lot, its not like side skirts and door guards.
I know the ones on the is300 are not plastic and I wouldn't paint the flimsy *** rubber on my car... not unless there was some way for me to harden it and coat it.

HAHAHAH I think that would look a little stupid. I have seen a honda with a shaved roof and I didnt think it looked all that great.
plus that would eliminate the purpose of having rain ducts. I live in southern cali and I hate rain being anywhere I dont need it to be.

The rubber ones on my car, I had painted when I did the color change. It's been about 3 years now, and they're still holding up. I took them off, along with everything else, when I had the car painted.
