looking to buy a nice driver seat with higher bolstering mainly for auto-x purposes. my question is for those owning/experienced with the listed seats is, do they sit lower in the dc2/dc2r than the stock seat/rails. i like to sit up straight during auto-x and my helmet tends to rub the roof a little. it's not bad a little lower would be just perfect. thanks for the help guys.

 

I think the Bride seats will sit a little lower, if not the rails might be adjustable. The Recaro SRD's are a little taller than most Bride seats when installed in the dc2.

 

I just recently installed a set of jdm recaro srII's or srIII whatever the jdm type r had and the seat sits significantly lower than my stock gsr seats, I know I don't have an R but I think the stock usdm type r seats sit at the same height as the gsr seats.

 

recaro's will maintain almost stock seat height at the lowest setting, so if you want to raise them up then you are in luck, bride's sit lower.

 

Anyone actually have BRIX in their dc2? i know some of you p1mps have these tiiite seats in your ride. help me and my big mug, please.

yes they definetly sit lower than the stock seats. I'd say at least a few inches.

A cheap, simple, and much less bling option you might want to consider is del sol seats. I had them in my teg for auto-x and track events and it worked perfect for my 6'3" height (while wearing my huge helmet).

 

and slow...
