Weird clunk sound from car.....Please advise!!! =)
Ok, this is very weird.....
When I start up my car, put it in reverse, and then TURN THE STEERING WHEEL NEARLY ALL THE WAY (left or right) as I back out.....I hear a clunk from the right front area of the car. I also feel it in the steering wheel, so I'm guessing it's transmitted from whatever is connected to the right front wheel.
It happens about 5-6 feet into the reverse, and I noticed it's louder and feels worse when going down on a slope...like when backing out of a driveway.
Now, the weirdest part is it ONLY happens when the car has cooled....say at least an hour.
The car drives fine and the suspension feels great. It never happens when driving.
I only have 1,000 miles on my warranty so I want to get this fixed for free. I alreadY went to the dealer, but for some reason that day and a couple days following, the car decided not to do it.
Anyways, much help is appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

My 2003 RSX-S steering "clunks" when I first apply some torque to the steering wheel (forward, reverse; doesn't matter) -- like yours, only after the car has sat a bit. Haven't been able to figure it out yet. Did you ever figure out your problem?
P.S. Mine has 22k miles on it -- started with the clunking sound at 20k miles.
