CRX D16Z6 vtec install HELP
Hey guys i am very new, and don't even have a civic or crx, but i just did a d16z6 vtec swap into my buddys crx. Everything is fine but we're having troubles trying ot get the vtec working. We decided to go with the rpm activated switch route, using an Autometer 5" tach and shift light, when connecting +12v to the vtec solenoid we hear a click but with the motor idling it makes no difference in the way it runs.
There are 2 wires comming off the tach going to the shift light, one is a constant +12 and the other is a signal to tell the light when to turn on. i connected the signal wire to the vtec solenoid and then and +12v to the light and then the other signal wire to the vtec solenoid wire.
basically all i did was splice the wire comming from the vtec soleniod into the wire that sends the signal for the shift light to turn on. this SHOULD turn on vtec at the desired rpm (set by the tach shift light) but we cannot get it to turn on.. if anyone has any info please please msg me on msn at down_hill_dog@hotmail.com or reply to this post because we really want to get this thing working

how many wires do you have coming from the v-tec solenoid? and do you have it grounded right? i mean the v-tec solenoid is grounded right.
