Alright I purchased some all clear tail lights for my 5th gen accord. I went to autozone and checker auto parts looking for some red light bulbs for my brake lights and they said they couldn't get them. Anyone have any ideas where to get them or should i just spraypaint some clear bulbs?

 

from my past experience with euros and/or clear lenses, i would recommend getting the little red rubber bulb covers. spraying the bulbs will work but they will fade faster than the red covers. when i had clears, the covers were like $5 a pair. i changed them out every few months, because they will fade as well.

 

yeah i looked into the rubber covers as well i could only find orange looking ones....said they were red but i think they would turn orange...?

is there someplace i can order the "bulb condom" online so it looks a lil more red then orange?

 

Thats just how they look, if you buy them locally put em on if you don't like them or aren't red enough return them. But I know they will be red. Just go to auto zone (thats who has them here in CO)

 

i know this is off topic to my post topic but where can i get a manual for my car...haynes i think is what it is?? chilton maybe? what would i search on ebay for one?

 

You can either order one from haynes or helms .com or when you get the bulb jimmies pick up a chiltons....best buy evAR.

 

they look orange, but trust me they are red, but like i said i changed them every few months because they will fade and look almost pink through the clear lense

 

fyi--i searched high and low for led bulbs for the tails, but didnt have any luck

 

i also searched for about an hour straight and couldnt find them. i think i will just go with the covers. What color do my turn signals have to be? can they be white or do they have to be yellow or red??

 

legally they should be amber, but when i had clears i just left them white--didnt have any problems

 

i found some red leds that are bright and really red work great got em at autozone


also got amber bulbs for turns there too

 

how much were those led tail bulbs--just curious

 

I checked at autozone and they told me they didnt carry anything that was colored? oh well i suppose

 

Here is a great site (very fast shipping) and reliable LED's..... http://autolumination.com/74.htm your corner bulbs you can buy just regular wedge (194's) in amber but if your going clear in the back check out the 1157/1156 leds, they are really bright and decently priced. for a guy doing his own business, and if the bulb is bad just email him (his CS is GREAT). Also I have dual filament bulbs (red color) I believe are the 1157 for the brake lights if you want I have 3 never been used.....sell them for 4 bucks shipped.

Is that the correct numbers for the tail lights of a 94 accord ex?? i thought i saw those same numbers on some integra or something like that?? for $4 yeah sure i will take them i am gonna send you a message.
