Default SV650 worth it?

Do you think the SV650 is worth it, I don't want to be a stunter, I might do a wheelie once in a while, I was just wondering if you think the SV will last me a year or so before I want something "better".

I'm not really into the lack of fairings all though the used model I looked at had the fairing kit so it looked decent..

Also is there any way to get a digital speedo for it? It's too easy to speed without one because you can't how fast you're going in your perhipheral vision.

both of the SV bikes (650 and 1000) are wonderful bikes and good values. you'd be suprised how much fun they are for "only" having the hp they do.

I'm pretty sure I'll never be doing any speeds higher than 120mph, so I really don't need top end, and if I get the full street fairing kit (after I get used to the bike in case I drop it) it'll look almost like a GSXR except with more torque.

I 2nd that. I took the day off from work on Friday and rode the twisties with my brother. So much damn fun
I know the digital speedo can be done, not really sure if it's worth the hassle, I like the analog guages.

These pics are courtesy of svrider.com I believe this is an R6 upper, including gauges.

That is an R6 upper fairing, the guages are off a GSXR 600, and the front end is from a GSXR 750-1000

Too bad, I'm buying an R6, my dad was the one that wanted to get an SV650, I don't really like them at all.
