Default Intake Shoping...

I am going to be getting intake. After looking around I think I am set on the Mugen intake. I was wondering, how are the gains from this intake. Are any of you running this on your type s. It is a bit expensive, but I have no problem getting it if gets the power that k20a2's get from I/H/E. Thanks -Shawn

It is not as loud as CAIs, but you can still hear and feel the vtec switch over. I had a short ram before and its more quietr, but a definite improvement, midrange and much better topend.

Worth it? Its mugen, if price is an issue get comptech. Mugens intake is extremely light and the actual filter area is greater than comptech. I had the comptech intake before, their filter area is the same as stock but foam, what I disliked about comptech is the snorkel pointed down the ground, whereas mugens is pointed toward the front grill for a ram air effect.

Hope this helps

What intake do you recommend for a K20A in a 2002 civic ex? I heard injen short ram is good on power and space but I just want to know if there is anything better out there?

Dyno results?

Well, have a look here [URL]http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104907&highlight=offici al+mugen/[URL]

Straight from the Mugen catalog - On a JDM DC5 - 4PS increase of power at the flywheel with a Mugen front bar with the air duct.

(PS that's why I didnt buy one when I was in Japan)

I would go injen for the fact of fitment and quality.Comes with a new washer bottle so you dont have to go threw the trouble of relocating the stock one and in power its comparable with injen coming out on top on alot of intake comparisions
