Went to one of my friend's shops the other night, and he just finished fixing up a customer's civic and told me to go for a lap. Its most probably the fastest normally aspirated B16A i've ever driven. So fast, that I asked him if we could try a run with my Evo 6. With a 10km/h rolling start, I had to boost 1.4 bar in order to keep up with him from 0-180km/h. Absolutely unbelievable!
Anyway, here's a movie I took of the car when the mechanic (owner of the shop) took it for a run with a potential customer who thought that B16As can't do **** with minor mods
http://boost-up.com/media/zerostart-eg6.wmv (32.8mb)
BTW, redline on this thing is 10000rpm

Its basically this:
B16A engine (1995)
B18C-R valve springs
B16A tranny (no LSD)
ZeroStart 4-2-1 header
NGK Blue Spark Plug Wires
NGK Sparkplugs
Enlargened B16A throttle body
ZeroStart 2.5" exhaust system (no cat, i'm sure you figured that out though)
ZeroStart P'n'P B16A head (he likes to call it "stage 1")
ZeroStart ROM
A very thin headgasket
Pump gas (95 octane)
Everything else in the engine is stock. Stock cams (no camgears), stock valves, retainers, pistons, connecting rods, etc.
I drove the car myself that night, and it is very very fast. Like I said, it took my evo 1.4 bar of boost (about 20psi) to keep up with him (although my car is a lot heavier + I have a sub in the trunk).
Makes me wanna go buy another Integra (or HB Civic)

Well, its not exactly bolt-ons - the head was removed and worked on, porting, etc. to his spec, and there's a very thin headgasket in there to bump up the compression.
I could tell you a story about this guy and Spoon Sports, but you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you

OK, well, back in the days (about 10 years ago), this mechanic, at the age of 20, built a very powerful EG6 that was going to be used at a big circuit race here in Thailand that involved other countries around Asia. Spoon Sports brought their EG6 race car to thailand to compete. Everyone was going ooh ahh over Spoon's car, until the car that my friend (the mechanic) built won the race, and beat Spoon's car (which came 2nd) by a good 5 seconds. Spoon approached my friend after the race, totally amazed, and invited him to work with them in Japan. So he did just that, and was one of the main people in Spoon's R&D dept. He was in Japan for a few months, living a great life. However, once Spoon felt they knew and learnt enough from my friend, they kicked him out and flew him back to Thailand. Sad huh?

Mishaps can always happen, yes, but it was almost 5am in the morning, and the road infront of the shop was rather empty. Its a risk, but everyone was giving the okay (including the owner of the car) so I guess its all good.
