I am putting my body kit on my car and the stick adhesive stuff on the door caps is not holding my door caps on very well the top sticks but the door cap is curved a bit not allowing the bottom to stick and now it probably has no adhesive left so I am wondering if anyone attached their door caps differently...I was thinking about using flathead screws and screwing them into the doors and covering the screws with a very thin layer of bondo has anyone done this or something similar???

you need to use an adhesion primer first. then hold it firm on the door for about a minute. You dont need rivits

 

i did use an adhesion primer but what im saying is that the door panels to and bottom dont fit on at the same time and it didnt stick I think I am going to use a heat gun and make it fit better then either use the screws idea or have the body shop rivet it when it goes to get some paint
