which clutch? d16y8 with crx si cable tranny
i am in the middle of pricing out a clutch for my swap. but i am not sure which clutch to shop for. the one for a d16y8 or for the crx. i am thinking that it is the one for the crx but i just wanna make sure. thanks.
also, anyone have any recommendations? this is a budget build and dont wanna spend a whole lot of money. right now it is a stock sohc vtec with bolt-ons and the possibility of a 50-shot later in the summer. lemme know, thanks.

u get the clutch for the tranny you are using. in your case the si cable tranny and year does matter also. get a decent act street clutch full faced preferably and might as well get a lighter flywheel. And you will have a very nice clutch setup HTH.
anyone have the table for which tranny/clutch/flywheels are compatible? i remember reading it in my 2-hour search, but now i cant find the thread. thanks.

found it, here it is for others
88 tranny - smaller pressure plate, smaller flywheel, diffrent (21) spline count from 89-91.
89 tranny - same pressure plate, same flywheel, but same (20) spline count as 90-91.
90-91 tranny - bigger pressure plate, bigger flywheel, same (20) spline count as 89.
so for an 88 - you need 88 clutch disk, 88 or 89 pressure plate and flywheel. or you can upgrade to the 90-91 bigger pressure plate and flywheel but you need the 84-87 prelude 2.0 liter 212mm clutch disk.
for an 89 - you need 89 clutch disk, 88 or 89 pressure plate and flywheel. or you can upgrade to 90-91 disk, pressure plate, and flywheel.
for a 90-91 - you use 90-91 disk, pressure plate, and flywheel or if your in a bind you can use the 89 disk pp and flywheel.
