Default New Engine?

alright. i got in a wreck in my gf's '96 accord a while back. after 3 weeks and a $500 deductable we got the car back. on the outside what was wrong with the car was that the front bumper was taken off. drivers side front fender bent. and other basic body damage. now after we got the car back she was following me in my FC an she calls me on my cell phone saying there is some loud clanking sound under the hood. and that the car died. i turn around and find her and check under the hood. my first thought was that a timing belt broke or something. then she said something about her check oil light came one. then i started thinking it was the oil pump. anyways. my dad came out and towed it back to his place. later we had it towed back to Bob Thomas Honda in Bend, OR and they saying that we lost a piston and need a new engine. my main question is, is if i was in an accident could that accident cause the engine to lose a piston? and if she is going to need a new engine anybody got an H22 out there for cheap? HEHE

if the piston is shot...buy a new piston. if the piston caused damage to the cylinder, get a new engine, screw repairing it. h22 is a wise choice my friend

i highly doubt that the accident caused the piston to go bad, but hey stranger thigns have happened i suppose. if it damaged the cylinder, i wouldnt mess with it either...
