Honda Crosstour Oil May have messed up my engine -I need you help
Hello,
I have a 2013 Honda Crosstour and I recently took it in for service because there were issues with its acceleration and a check engine light + FDW Failure started appearing on the digital dash. Honda service reset the something and said that it did the trick so I took it home...It started flashing the same warnings Check engine light and FDW so I took it back this time they had to replace a sensor...took it home and then again same issues with slow acceleration and warning light this time they checked the timing belt and asked how frequent my oil changes were. I take it in regularly to Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed they said that they weren't using the right viscosity and that it is slowly damaging the pistons...I will need to completely change out the engine! I am about $1200 into this now and they say the engine replacement will cost $4700...is this really happening...because this feels like a joke! I feel like they just misdiagnosed this thing twice and the answer the third time is new engine? Can somebody help me here please?

Most likely they don't know what they are doing and saw you as the sucker of the week. I guess you are over your 5 year/60K warranty but you still might want to contact the regional Honda rep.
Also oil and lube places have been known to pay for replacement engines if it is indeed their fault.
