Went to the junkyard today!!!!!!
I drove down from school this weekend to go to the local junkyard, because they were having a "pull oh thon". Everything you can carry for $35 and $80 for everything to drag out, e.g. like a motor and tranny. Well I scored a bunch of stuff for only $35 put everything in a big *** bag
. 90 prelude si fog lights, 90 civic si cluster, 88 civic front bumper, 88 civic driverside fender, pm6 manifold, short shifter, fabric to fix my si seat. and the optional rear speakers brackets for an ef. So I made out pretty good. I"m kind of pissed though because they crushed a 94 ex coupe and I wanted the rear trailing arms with disk brakes and the dash. And they also had a hatch in their with a zc that they crushed. Some people just don't know.

I htink the best thing to do for one of those sales is go grab all the distributors, map sensors, and TPSs that you can. You could easily get $500-$600 worth of stuff for $35
I just had one OT question. Do most junkyards let you pull your own parts? Seems like the ones around me pull it for you and charge only a little less than new stuff.
here in GA we have a few that let you pull it yourself. On of my favorites is Pull-A-Part.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Found a couple in New London that let you walk the yards and pull your own parts. I got a complete(all seats and panels) 93 Civic Si interior at one for $175.
And I bought all the tubo parts from a 89 saab 9000 for $100 at another.

. Thanks for the TIP man that place rocked, we piled tons of stuff on one kid and split the cost. $15 for a Tilt steering column, door hinges, door checker, reverse light switch and some other randoms. Too bad some kids beat me to the 100,000 mile A6 by 30 minutes. They took it home for only $85!

Do they do that crappy
"core charge"
bullsh!t like some of those other yards.
you think you get a deal & they hit you with a $50 core charge. Or they charge for every piece of crap on the motor, sensors, wire, sludge, oil in the oil pan (haha). Intake manifold.ect.
f-ing scammer yards
BTW Edited by BIG O: Not enough thumbdowns for scammer yards.
