Default Major major crappy alarm problems

ok this is the story; i bought the car a couple days ago. Drivers window looked like it has been tampered with aka broken into and then theres this funky crappy alarm. I cannot disable the alarm but i CAN turn it off by either hitting a button on remote and then leaving the door open OR i can temporarily turn it off by hitting same button but in a minute the alarm engages itself again. Another wonderfull feature of this is that when the alarm is going off i cannot crank the engine until i hit the button on remote. It is also wired into the head/tail lights when i hit a button.

NOW: i THINK the batterey of the remote just went out and i CANT disengage the alarm! Car is stuck in my driveway until my bro comes back from radio shack with batterey. (remote has 2 buttons, 1 doesnt work, or at least it doesnt seem to have any effect on alarm)

MY QUESTION:

#1 I looked under the dash and i found a box that saids has inputs(audio memory power) but i disconnected audio cables and alarm still works, i doubt this is alarm brains. Theres also a small blue box just about under the middle of the dash, i didnt mess with it. Where should i look for the brains of alarm on my 97 dx coupe (lot of wires under dash)?

#2 Since i havent found the brains box, just off top of your heads, can i buy a DIFFERENT box and plug in existing cables into the new one, assuming i get one with same features which dont seem like many?

#3 Ballpark how much it would cost me to take my car into a cheap alarm shop to install a new alarm box into my existing wiring?

I would RREALY APPRECIATE IT if you guys can give me some feedback on this peice of sh*t alarm i have.

Looks like aftermarket, alarms not offered in dx's? I figure the remote or the siren would say honda on them but they dont, they dont say any brand on em

Close all the doors/trunk/hood and arm/disarm the alarm.
Wait and see if the alarm will get set off again.

Nope, it will not disarm. However, twice out of the 200 times ive had to click the remote i had it completely disarmed. Trust me i go nuts with those 2 buttons on remote.

It's not that i dont know how to use it, its that this thing is not working like it should

update: I found the alarm and it looks like a no-name brand. Doesnt have any brand markings on it and its fairly small. Everything is plugged in and marked clearly on the small box. Any more advice or is this thing just defective?

if you having a problem with that alarm and install why would you use the same wires?
most alarms have a valet switche under the dash that can be used to disarm the alarm without the remote
turn the key to ignition and push or flip the switch
you should then be able to start the car

If worse comes to worse, simply find the two sides of the black wire with the white stripe that was cut for the starter kill relay and reconnect them (solder or use the proper crimp connector, this connection needs to be solid). Your car should start up no problem, then simply unplug the alarm brain and you should be good to go.
