Ok i have a Y8 intake man on a D15B2 (out of a 4dr) and mu idle is fukd up is there anyone with pics that can enlighten my ***???

 

Is it off of a auto or manual Y8? Is your car auto or manual?

 

describe messed up: high idle, bouncy(revs up and down), low idle?

1. Check all vacuum connections
2. Did you use all new gaskets? If you didn't buy new ones and start over
3. Check the IACV and FITV (do a search)
4. Check throttle cable tightness
5. Tighten all bolts for leaks
6. Make sure coolant is full and free of leaks

 

its from a manual and my cars a manual and the idle goes up and down

 

Check for a vacuum leak and clean your IAC. Is the ECU from the Y8 donor car? Or P28?

 

Here's a fairly up to date pic of my engine bay... It's actually using a Z6 block and a Y8 head, so it's not quite what you're looking for.

-I have since relocated the battery, added the LS T/B, blueprinted injectors and converted to OBD-1. I've been using the Y8 manifold for quite some time now.

Hey Mr. Todd does your drivers side mount sit funny? Mine is pressed against the side of the bracket...towards the front bumper.
