Default Madison Motorsports Car Show

We the Madison Motorsports club are having a little car show this Saturday on campus at JMU to attract new people to motorsport (perhaps more flaggers and HPDE students) and I was wondering if any of you VA NASA guys would like to come. Yes I know, most of you are not the car show type and neither are we (the officers) but it'll be a good event for some of our misguided street racers to learn about real driving events. Lemme know if any of you guys would like to come, we have a little info at http://skinnee.cisat.jmu.edu/mmsports (our full website got destroyed by a virus )

depending on what goine on this weekend I would be willing to ride down and do some NASA and Speedtrial recruting. I would like to not be the only one though........... unless VAtypeR2000 or Honda318dx would let me borrow there cars.

Gerald -

I was hoping this was going to be next week. I will check with Jim and see if we can bring down 2 Camaros - not to be in show but to be there as support.

Hey whatever you guys do, we'd be happy to have you up here. I really just hope to snag a few new members, expose some people to autocrossing and HPDS, and raise a little money for the club. If it is a major stretch for you to come, don't worry about it, this is the first time we're having the show and we'll be doing it again. Thanks in advance if you can make it and thanks for thinking about us if you can't

OK, if you're coming from the Nova area you'd take 66 until you hit 81. Take 81 South for about 50 min. The exit you will be taking says JMU, it is an off ramp that terminates in a light that you can see from the highway (Port Republic Rd.). Take this exit and turn right at the light then take the immediate next right onto campus. You'll pass through some stop signs, turn right at the first (and only stoplight on campus). You'll pass the lot on your left but you cannot get into it from on campus. At the next stop sign turn left, then take another left at the light (you'll cross some train tracks). Then take an immediate left into the parking lot.

Thanks again guys, I look forward to seeing you there!
