Are RSX type S good in the snow?
All front wheel drive cars are good in snow and it also depends on the driver. But you would have to buy new tires because stock ones just plain suck. But to answer your question yes there pretty good in the snow with tires and a good driver like most cars.
check out Winterforce tires (made by Bridgestone/Firestone), I have them on another vehicle and they are truly awesome. Plus they're inexpensive and get great reviews compared to the pricey brands. Available in 205-55-16 to fit the RSX.
ok, i think my rsx is pretty damn good in the snow
and all these ppl who think that the stock tires r shitty, u seem to be forgeting
that their ALL SEASON TIRES, yea theyr not gonna be GREAT snow but theyr also
not gonna be like *** in terms of dry performance
and ur not gonna find a set of tires that r gonna allow u to drive the same way in snow as u do on a sunny summer day, just slow it down

Just wanted to add that after having snow and ice fall in NC over the last week and a half that the RSX-S does go well in the white stuff with the factory Michelin tires...I know when I get the Azenis on it will be different

Well I under stood a little bit of what you were trying to say. But to answer your comments regarding the stock tires which happen to be all season are ***. They are not good in any type of weather condition weather it be dry or wet. In dry performance they do not grab the surface and tend to slip out very easily. As for wet conditions it only gets worse with the stock tires. If they are crappy in dry conditions only imagine how they perform in wet conditions.

Hahaha, yep a lot more spinning when you search for traction with the azenis. haha. The Azenis is a great tire for dry conditions, but any type of wet conditions will not be as great.

i think the rsx is kinda crappy in the snow. i was goin up to mountain high and i got stuck on the hill up to the parking lot. my homie had to get out and push with the help of another guy who got stuck up there too with a GTI
They can get through, but there is always a line with How much snow/Mobility....as with any front wheel driver.
I prefer a 4wd truck myself...Honda SUT anyone

back when it snowed in philly around dec 03 I watched on the news and they showed some girl in a rsx tring to get around in the snow and it couldn't get any traction in 2 in of snow and it couldn't even get up hills. but thats just what i saw
damn that sucks. my da integra pulls very well through the snow, its all in the driver and knowing how to use the car. also, chains are very nice to have. especially when the highway patrol requires them sometimes(yeah, it gets that bad around here).
