Saw you driving down Smithtown in Long Island, NY last Friday.

5 lugs white Acura rims. Red rear lights and obviously 2000+ model rear bumpers and ITR kit.
I was riding in my GF's silver teg and saw you pass by. Can't get ahead of you to see if there is any sun roof. But I am sure it's a NY plate.

Did you brought it over from Canada? If you are from Canada and temperorily visiting....Are you interested in trading in for a PY ITR 2000 with 11,000miles plus some cash? Since you guys don't have PY in Canada....
Pretty much stock internal with Comptech Ice box and other legit accessories like Mugen pedals, Spoon shift *****, ITR floormats. Mugen Thermostat, Omori Meters, Apexi VAFC, Spoon Rear Strut Bar and Polk dX Pro Component Speakers with Alpine (instant removable) Amp+Sub. Oh...and also a io-port racing camera mount.


Reason for CW....: Need to de-badge and go in to sleeper mode, painting the car in white can cost up to $3000.

Out of curiosity, how can you tell if it is a Canadian model? (besides the blaring red seats on whatever MY it was offered)

 

It has a 2000 and 2001 model of rear bumper and red signaled real tail light. So it's obvious not a 98 model. And since 2000 and 2001 ITR in US does not have CW as an option. Then it's gotta be a Canadian one. The chances are that the owner might be changed the tail light...but the entire rear bumper?
However, I do have a bit of curiosity that it's not a real ITR...like I said I don't have a chance to see if it has suinroof to proof that it might just be a GSR. The badge and all other criteria of ITR looks real on this white car, except the color. It has a new car's color, I've seen 98 specs and I am not quite sure if the white on this one is legit Champion white, which is more close to pearl white.
That's why I would like to know if it's real and if I can trade with him....I always wanted a CW anyway.

 

the rear bumpers are the same on the 98-01's. it could have been a 98.

 

I believe they ( Canadian ) do have PY ITR there......just not Black ITR

Never received a black ITR here in Canada.

Yellow ITR were brought over in 2000 only.

 

....hmm. so it might be a 98 with red tail light. But that car looks awfully new.

98s had red taillights. Some people keep their older cars still looking new. I have a friend who just sold his 95 LS and it looked better and newer than my 97 ITR.

 

Hehe...the reason I insisted myself that this should be a Canadian one so that I might have a shot at a trade...since PY is a bit rare up North. But since it's a 98, I wouldn't trade it if I were you also. Are you from around the area of Smithtown? I goto SUNY SB, my car is back in Queens. Near Smithtown (I am not gonna say exactly where), I've seen several PYs, one of them with JDM conversion and he came to Smithtown Acura to check out the RSXs...anyway, nice to know that we got a rare CW in NY.

i'm what you would call a certified integra nut
my first car was a milano red 1987 integra hatch
second car was a black 94 GSR (stolen)
now i have the 98 ITR

i would love to do the events you mentioned
but somehow i just can't find the time
between work, girlfriend, other friends, etc.
i end up being able to drive my R about once a week
it still only has 17K miles on it

but i will definately try my best to hook up with you guys

Neomugen, could you tell me how R owners you know of are h-t members in NYC

 

Hi Guys! I'm also an R-speed member but have no time to join you at the events for the same reasons BlueR mentioned.

r-speed? it this the group that met upstate at the acura dealer and went up the taconic? passed by a cop on the way which was pretty funny? i was with integrapower if this is the group?

Guys, I was trying to organize something for this Saturday, send me an email if interested. So far the response has been very very very slow, so I was thinking of cancelling (the meet, but the event is still happening, I think). The problem is that alot of us work on Saturday, and I am in Church Sunday mornings and the weather is getting colder. But, look outside, it is warm today so hopefully Saturday will be also.

This club start back in November in Superhonda.org. At the time, we all in the Tri-State just wanna meet up once and exchange idea and tips instead of just paper talking on the forum. But then, as H-T gets more informative and techy, most of us moved here and participate less in SHO...like David, H-pimp, 1GreyTeg, TypeRMSM, .....etc. I think we have more than 20 something owners of ITR in our mailing list. But the regreted thing was that not once that all cars showed up. The largest meet was like 13 ITRs....
And David was planning a Parking lot hangout or cruise down the highway this Sat in Long Island (very close if you are from Suffolk) I can't tell you where it is, but I'll im you now for security reasons. Imagingcrusing with like 10+ ITRs identical to yours on LIE and everyone starring...(oh forgot, if you come, you will be the only CW)...I can't express that feeling of excitment, just shaking teeth in my jaw and shaking fingers on the steering column --> even weed can't get you that high and paranoid.
Although I am not much of a hang-out type of person and a bit of introvert at times so I most often participate club meetings that has to do with improving driving skills...like track and autoX. I sure did missed several events and felt a bit regreted for them. So you should definitely come over sometime. We been drooling for a CW for quite some times now.

BTW R-Speed Members:. I am signning up for PDA Pocono for next Sat. 14th. It's the inner course this time. So instead of watching the tailights of Ferraris and Porsche(r) doing like 170+ on the NASCA Ovals...we acutally have a chance to smell their butts this time on the North and South course -- very little straightawyas and lots of lots of turns.

Anyone wanna go?

I made the meet also, it was right after my R was stolen. Not a member b/c I'm a lexus owner now. If you guys do meet up maybe I can make it. My cars still yellow and jdm

 

That might be me '98 CW. Or one of the Toronto guys must've taken his down (lots of them there) Would love to meet u guys.
