You CANNOT use ANY OBD1/2 dizzy on an OBD0 car/engine/ecu.
The OBD0 dizzy is NOT compatible with the later electronics and vice versa.
The OBD0 sensor inside fires at a different rate than the sensor on the OBD1/2 dizzy does. And vice versa.
You can swap OBD1/2 dizzys back and forth by rewiring, but NOT with OBD0.

This is from a thread on dizzy swapping. I just read.

The OBD1 dizzy has a completely different pulse rate than the pre-OBD ECU/dizzy combo, so even if you wire it up correctly it will ALWAYS throw a code 4 and/or 9 for the crank and cylinder position sensors and your engine won't rev over 3500rpm and it'll run like ****.
