Default 04' ACCORD HELP

hello i have 2300 miles on my brand new 04 accord ex v6. its a great car. i have a problem though, after installing a AEM COLD AIR INTAKE part number#21-510.
i notce that the engine light flashes at high revs. when i first noticed this i looked under the hood to find my air filter had fallen off the intake tube. i drove the car home worrying that it would f*%ked my car up driving it without the filter on. i didnt take it over 2.5 rpm. hoping the best for the car. I took it home and put the filter back on tightly. test drove and it seemed fine until i got on it and at about 6.5 rpm i noticed that darn engine light again. so i popped the hood up and looked around and saw nothing that looked threatening. it all looked ok. i did think that i smelled something though like a burnt rubber smell. i decided to pop the hood again before going to work this morning and noticed that the breather hoses are working themselves off of the nipple. (not on the inlet pipe)on the car. i've spoke with honda and they say that its a trouble code and it would cost me 130 dollars to diagnose what the problem is, and if it is caused by the AEM COLD AIR INTAKE that of course it wouldn't be covered.i'm trying to get around this ,the car is my pride and joy and i've spent so much on it can anyone help me??also when i puechased the intake the guy explained that it was for a 03' but that it would work just the same.. please help the car is in danger... all help is much appreciated.

If I were you, I would put back the stock air intake and make sure nothing looks different. Take the car up to 6500rpm to see if the same engine light goes on. If the check engine light does come on, then take the car to Honda and do not tell them anything about you owning an AEM intake or you did something to the car.

Also, I think 2300 miles is still a break in period. I don't think you are supposed to be reving it that high just yet. (I could be wrong, but with my first car, I didn't step on it until after my first oil change.)

I know with my I4 2003 accord there was the possiblity of a the mass air flow sensor inside the air box. I'm not sure how the six was set up. Some I4 have a mafs and some don't within that year. Know if your mafs depends on a specific diameter of the air pipe, changing to the aem increases that size and your mafs is not calibrated for it.

you might want to check that out, not sure if this is the problem, but its a thought
