Default crx sir cluster anything else needed?

im about to put the crx sir cluster in my 91 hf...b/c im doing a swap and need something that revs out past 8....ive put an sir cluster in my eg before and didnt need any extra wiring or pieces...anybody know if i need anything extra besides the cluster for the crx sir 1?

Your going to need an electronic speed sensor

ypu u need a VSS for either tranny you are going to use the cluster with...or are d series and b series VSS the same??

You don't need a new cluster to rev to 8K with the new swap. Your ECU is what controls your REV limit, not your cluster.

I see what you mean though. The SIR cluster would be nice. Do you know how to rewire?

I used my old d16a6 speed sensor for my bseries tranny when i swaped to a b16 just like everybody does that uses the stock cluster.

so all D&B series should be the same. but i have never tried.

ya ok but my car car can shift out until 8,5-9...so i obviously need a rpm gauge that reads past 8...the stock HF 1..stops at exactly 8...so how would i shift at 8,5 if it doesnt read any further..i obviously need a new cluster that reads past 8.thats my point

so whats everything i need in order to put the cluster in...im using a LS cable tranny too...i need the cluster...plugs...vss? is this right or what

Yeah those three things. Just as long as the vss is a electronic one.

so just take the VSS out any hydro tranny n i can use it on my cable?

Yeah..you need the clip that goes on the sensor also. then you splice the 3 wires...one goes to power, one goes to ground, the other goes to the cluster.
