Default Shoudl i replace balance shaft bearings

well my block is ready to rebuild..except for i dont know if im need to get new balance shaft bearings. also if i do nee them..how do i get them in??? please let me know and dont say remove the balance shafts cause im pretty sure im keepin em

No, unless they are spun. Just replace your main and rod bearings and you should be fine.

A lot of guys have disabled their balance shafts as well, if you need a kit to plug the whole do a search under for 'balance shafts' in the prelude forum and you should find the thread with the kit.

where are the balance shaft bearings? I don't remember what they looked like, off the top of my head.

Are those things easy to have fall out?

When I disassembled my motor, I don't remember seeing anything else come out w/ the balancer shaft when I pulled off the side of the block.

When i had my motor rebuild i replaced them and they did it just like V8 cam bearings. they look like circles with no holes in them. I don't know why people say to take out the balancer shaft you have to turn the bearing to plug up the hole because there is no hole.

Well I don't remember seeing them come out when I pulled that side out, but I guess I'll be pulling that back out to check..
