ok ok...i want one...indeed!!!
but again, what are the benefits of the rear strut bar? i've read that stiffening your car NEVER hurts. is this true?
i can totally tell how much the front tower strut bar helps. my roommate has an integra gs w/o one and i can feel it flex way more than my r.
but as for the rear bar, is it a good modification? thanks...

You don't HAVE to use a drill bore, get a utility knife (uses razor blades) and a pencil, measure out the oval, and get to work
Drill will be quick & easy if you can get it though. You'll still need the knife to cut the area between the circles.
Rear bar works exactly like the front, just stiffens the top of the shock towers, prevents flexing...the ITR already has a fantastically tight rear for a stock car, so it's not a night and day difference, but the car seemed a little more willing to rotate when i would take it off for stock competition, and put it on for funruns...and in the long term, extra strength is always good. Plus it looks sweet

Hi Guys
First post.
Down here the JDM rear strut bar is a factory option. I had mine fitted by the dealer on delivery (cost A$210.) It didn't come with new covers, the dealer cut the existing covers with a craft knife. Unfortunately one cut was too small (couldn't get cover over the bar for removal) and I had to modify it.
I normally leave the bar in, but take it out if I have to carry stuff. It is a five minute job.
I have driven the car on the track with and without the strut bar. Noticed that there is pronounced rear wheel steering with the bar fitted and this helped turn in by reducing understeer. The high speed drifting through corners looked dramatic but it felt safe.
Finally after such along wait my Rear Bar has arrived! Thanks to Racer-X..!

Sorry guys for all the enthusiasm but I haven't bought anything new for my R in awhile and making it more exciting is the fact that it's real JDM!

wow looks like racer-x was busy sending these thing out. i got mine form him last night and put it in this afternoon. i didn't have the 45mm drill so i just dremeled out an oval and kept fitting it till it was right. my dremel skills suck ***, but it still turned out great. hardest part for me was getting the damn trim on. other than that it was like an hour with all the cutting.

Well I'm glad everyone is happy with there bars. Sorry it just took so long if it hadn't been for the first delay with my supplier messing up the order I don't think there would be as long as of weight. Atleast now I do some in stock so if anyone would like bar just give me email and I will give you price shipped.
The bar really helps when you go in fast and hard into tight corners were the rear begins to feel very light because all the weight is going toward the nose..and even sometimes when you get on the power sometimes it's too little to late or your too low of power band to correct the rear from coming around on you. With the bar the car feels just more planted in the rear and you can push it futher then normal and still feel safe. I've done drifts in my R coming out of esses and skid pad turns and it looks crazy on the outside but inside you feel safe as can be and easily caught.

I just finished drilling the cover... did a terrible job..
but I think I still can use some dremel later..
the fitment is not done yet.. probably this weekend I can work on it..
