im gettin a civic ex soon and 1.6 liters arn't to fast so im lookin for a motor swap , what should i get...im jus now really getting into cars, so sorry if my questions sound stupid...i want an engine that will last and can be drivin daily but ready to hit the strip...all feed back is helpful thank you

#1 choice is b18c5(r) Type-r
#2 is b18c - GSR
#3 is b16 or b18b or b20
#4 is h22

 

B20 Vtec is nice, really nice
but B16a is cheaper, good upgrade for the price

just make sure its DOHC motor not an SOHC

 

Do a search on swaps! Come to your own conclusions! What year of civic are you getting?

 

Go to http://www.hmotorsonline.com and order whichever motor you can afford...make sure you get the complete changeover though.

And BTW...1.6 Liters aren't slow.

 

b16, b17, b18, b20, h22, add a turbo, nos, then you'll be "fast n' the furious"...

I cant afford a b-series motor right now and i dont know that i would waste my money on a b16a anyways I've beaten to many of them

I love my d-series

He said 1.6 liters are slow...he wasnt just attacking D16's...he was attacking all 1.6L motors.

And how have you beaten B16's...you can't legally drive yet...do you race with your mommy in the car?

I hate to tell you, but 1.8 liters isn't "fast" either. Nor is 2.0 or 2.2 or even a Frankenstein 2.3 VTEC. If you think those are fast, you don't know what fast is.
