I know this has been discussed but I have not seen feeback from anyone that actually had the dealership repaint the bumpers. I'm going to make an appointment to meet with Hendrick Acura this week to discuss getting mine repainted under warranty. I just wondered how much flack to expect from the dealership (if any) and how was the quality of the repainted bumpers when you got the car back (I know that will depend on the body shop that does the work). Thanks for the help guys and I'm just searching for some feedback on this topic.

 

Are you refering to the way they fade, or appear to fade. Quickly...
I have noticed that on some PY ITRs, but never said anything, thinking it was just my eyes...

The warranty information included in your owners manual specifically EXCLUDES paint match from the warranty....

 

It's because of the flex agent used on the bumpers - some will repaint it no problem - others won't.

 

I paid 500.00 for a paint warranty on the car and it is suppose to be covered for 5 years (I think). I will have to pull the paper work out. I may not have any trouble out of the dealership but was wondering what some of the other H-T members have run into.

 

Most paint warranties cover chipping/peeling/rust thru only. I talked with the field service rep locally and he said that the color difference was not covered.

whoa, my car has so many chips on the front end because of highway driving. Are you saying theyll fix that for me?

 

Excessive chipping....I doubt that they will cover your normal wear and tear stuff..
