RE01 are not a US market tire and are only available by grey market import.

They are a summer performance tire and the reviews in Asia suggest that this is one of the best street tires, if not the best currently available. Although the new Advan Neova AD07 probably does edge it out.

A lot of cars imported here (New Zealand) from Japan pre-modified come with RE01 but we can't get them here easily either. Special import is an option but there is always the risk of damaging a tire and needing a new one.

Bridgestone markets the S03 as it's performance comfort tire (read Euro Style) and the RE01 as the performance sporty tire (read Japanese sports cars)

If they were available here I'd spring for a set.

Do the RE-01's have more grip than the S-03's (or viceversa). What sizes do the RE-01's come in?

Agreed..... not for snow. They seem to have good grip when dry and I haven't tried pushing them when the streets are wet.
