My 1986 1.8L prelude wont run???
Hi everyone, im new to this site, and have a problem with my prelude that ive owned since october.
Problem occured jan 1, i was driving home from my gf's house and the car just dies while driving at 35mph. I get the car towed home and realized that my fuel pump isent turning on. So i check all my fuses and there all good. So i then replaced my fuel pump relay it still doesnt work.
So then i ran new wiring from my ignition to the pump so that the fuel pump is getting twelve volt power as soon as i turn my igition on.
After this the car starts, Idles and revs up fine but as soon as theres any load on the motor the car dies
Ive checked the compression and it blew 160/165/160/165 so the motor is in really good shape. It has new fuel filter cap rotor, plugs and wires.
About two weeks later i go back to look at the car, and start it up and let it idle for a good 15min, I then turn it off, and now my car wont even start.
So i pulled the fuel line off before the fuel rail and turned the pump on, and it was hardly pumping fuel.
And thats where ive left it.......
Thanks for reading all that Greg
