autometer a/f guage, what does yours do???
yeah i hooked up the ricer guage
anyway when im driving the lights go from far right stoich to lean then it shuts off??
its comes back and soes the same sequence... is this what everyone elses does?
this is on my g2 so its single wire o2 sensor

when u step on the gas does it change? or does it just bounce back and forth for a bit? ive heard there's someway to change it so it just bounces back and forth (GAY)... mine goes to green when i hit the gas... as it should, i assume (change, not go to green)

when i hit the gas it pushes to rich....
when i cruise it goes stoich...moves around and goes to lean and shuts off ..
then it starts over stoich, lean, shut off??

Sounds to be working right.. goes to rich when your on the gas.. and when you let off the lean or off, beyond what the guage reads..
shouldnt it depend on what type of mods and tuning you have done... I mean not every car is going to give the same reading
Ya it does depend on mods and if you have had tuning etc.. in general it will do the same.. rich when gas and lean if you let off.. tuning can change all that how rich it would read (A/F ratio) when your on the gas. Just a general explanation.. anyone else have a better way to explain..
Right. Its general activity should be the same no matter what. Bouncing back and forth during idle and regular driving, and sticking on whatever reading it gets @ WOT.
Whatever reading you get at WOT, that varies with your setup obviously. The general activity of the guage should be the same no matter what.

Yeah....the a/f meter jumps back and forth sporadically unless your throttle is at 75% or more, meaning you really have to step on the gas to get an accurate reading. When you hammer the pedal, you should see the light on the gauge stay steady until you let off of it again. Its normal behavior.
better than lean....
what 02 sensors does the autometer a/f work best with? any ideas if any make a difference?
i have a gm 4 wire heated o2... anyone know which wire i tap into? i guess i could wait until the car is running and just tap until it works but i was hoping someone might know...

those a/f guages are pretty useless... if you really want to monitor your a/f mixture, hook up an exhuast gas temp guage to your header or manifold. If the temp goes hotter, it's running more lean, and cooler means more rich. It's more reliable and accurate than the a/f guages running off the less than accurate Honda O2 sensors.
They arent useless.
If the EGT guage does the same thing, then why pay 3x more for it?
For $39 or whatever it costs, its a perfect safeguard against running dangerously. Its not meant to tune with, just as a safeguard.
