hey y'all !! i got this 98 DX honda accord and all of a sudden the check engine light comes on !! how do i rectify this!! the oil change was done recently!! somebody pls help!!

 

There's gotta be 400 different things that can set that off.

Go to Autozone & have them plug in their code reader. Get them to tell you the code #, not just the guy's description of the problem. Without knowing the fault code all we can do is guess.

 

if you anyone at a repair shop they should be able to plug-into the OBD II connector and get a code, however, non honda/acura computers are limited to the codes/diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) that the computer can actually read. in easy terms you have, oh I'd say, about an 80% chance that they can read the code. good luck
