Default How do I get to the side mirrors on my 97 civic?

Sounds like such a stupid question, but I have to ask it. Well, my car has non power mirrors and I am switching to my ctr folding mirrors I got from autodynamics. Anyways, I'm not quite sure how to remove the stock mirrors. YES I did search, but didn't find anything-I tried many different searches too. I'm thinking I have to remove my door panel (**** -PITA) to do it but I hope not. Any help here would be much appreciated. Thanks.

u dont have to take off the door panel. there is a lil panel above the door panel that is by the mirror pull that off and there should be like 3 nuts that hold it in

The best way IMO is to take the door panels off, then again, you can do it without...

Step 1) Remove door panel

Step 2) Remove the black panel where the mirror control arm is

Step 3) There should be 3 bolts that are either 8mm or 10mm, not sure of which, but is one of the two. Remove these 3 bolts

Step 4) Pull Mirror out

The reason for me taking the door panel is because the black panel has a plastic clip that attaches to the door frame, and well it can be easily be broken if you dunt pull on it correctly...

Hope this helps
