I know a guy that has a 98 GS automatic and he wants to get either a super charger or turbo.. Isn't this a complete waste of money? Or even possible without having expensive problems for a daily driver? Just curious as to what you guys think?

 

I wouldn't do it with an auto...tell him to sell the car...and get a manual...he might even break even on that sale...since autos generally get more money.

 

he can still boost it if it's an auto. There are successful automatics out there that are blown.

In that situation, i'd do the supercharger. It'll probably give him a broader powerband.

But, do whatever he wants to do.

 

supercharged auto gs = sleeper in my opinon...just build up the drive train to whoop on those manuals

 

i installed my drag 3 kit on my buddies ls auto. he ran 14.0 the first time he ever went to the track.


14 flat at 7 psi on an auto is pretty damn good if u ask me.

damn tell me about my buddy with a ls vtec turbo coupe si could only pull a 14.5 best on 8 psi manual tranny
